There are different certification courses that you can get, as well as an assortment of YouTube videos that are out there and different e-learning courses that you can take, coincidentally, to learn how to build e-learning in Adobe Captivate. So Adobe Captivate can, as I mentioned, be a little bit daunting to take on as a new piece of software to learn. So if you put your nose to the grindstone, so to speak, and master that foundational knowledge, you'll do quite well. A lot of the things that you do or I do on a day to day basis are the same things I'm going to do tomorrow and the next day. But once you sort of master the foundational knowledge, it really becomes straightforward. So Adobe Captivate does have a reputation for a steep learning curve. I didn't really want to try something new and different, have to learn all those skills over again. Also, being familiar with Adobe Captivate, I knew how comfortable I would be using it. I had used it before in my previous job and I was already familiar with it, so that was a big reason why I chose it.

So Adobe Captivate's a great solution for creating content that learners can use whenever it's convenient for them. I dont need them to record any notes etc. Prior to Adobe Captivate, I did a lot of face to face instructor led learning and why that doesn't work is, of course, the convenience for my learners to be able to access e-learning around the clock and from wherever they happen to be. So I've been using Adobe Captivate for well over a decade now. I give Adobe Captivate a four out of five. This is a feature I love in Articulate's e-learning in that non-linear branching is highly encouraged whereas the linear filmstrip does little to entice users to develop complex learning opportunities, reinforcing the linear death by slides commonly seen in virtual learning.Paul: Hi, my name's Paul. It took a long time to learn, and that's why we looked for something else. Before we started using Adobe Captivate, we used a different software that was harder to navigate. If I am to further nitpick, I am not excited by the filmstrip display for slide storyline. I give Adobe Captivate five out of five stars.
Variables become buried and are not as easy to manipulate as in Articulate Storyline, but they are buried for very good reason in that you can actually do more in Captivate than with its rival program with such features.
While you can dig deeply into advanced interactions, data reporting, etc, the learning curve is immense to begin to understand elements such as advanced actions, keywords, etc. The platform is powerful and has a lot of nuances that allow for digging deep into options for developing truly custom courses and user experiences. Having used many products for developing e-learning, Captivate is among the top-tier development programs but has a high cost to entry. Having used the entire Adobe CC and other e-learning software, this platform is not difficult to transition into. While I am just jumping into the platform as my current job requires it over other software platforms, I am impressed. Adobe Captivate Quiz Results Analyzer is a results analyzer tool which comes with Adobe Captivate 5.
